St. Mary’s Colgan senior twin sisters Ashley and Allie Marietta made it official last week by committing to Division I St. Louis University softball out of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The twins are Sports in Kansas two-time all-state selections in 2-1A for the Panthers under head coach Annie Dellasega. They also missed their entire sophomore season like all other athletes their age due to Covid-19 cancellation of season. The Panthers have won back to back state softball titles in 2-1A in 2019 and 2021.
The twins, who will graduate in May of 2022 from SMC, are also standout cross country runners for head coach Scott Cichon. They are also part of the Aces Fastpitch Softball Club led by Ryan and Taylor Taylor.
CNC softball has recently sent a lot of players to the Division I level out of HS including Taylor Compton (Riverton/SD State/Pitt State), Camryn Compton (Riverton/Wichita State), Gracie Sullivan (Columbus/Wichita State/Pitt State) and Riley McNemar (Galena/Auburn).
