Craw-Kan Southeast Kansas Team of the Week: Pittsburg boys’ wrestling taking seven to state

Pittsburg boys’ wrestling has seven headed to state.

The Pittsburg High School boys’ wrestling team qualified seven for the Class 5A state championship, held this Friday and Saturday at Park City’s Hartman Arena.

Pittsburg was seventh with 125.5 points at the 5A East regional.

Senior Cruz Lopez stands at 24-17 at 132. Senior Corbin McIntier is 35-8 at 138. Junior Tyler Bailey has a 29-12 mark at 144. Senior JJ White holds a 35-5 record at 165. Freshman Demarus Partee is 28-14 at 175.

Senior Jaquan Augustin is 29-8 at 190. Sophomore Stone Perry is 15-15 at 215.

McIntier is ranked third at 138, while Augustin is sixth at 190.

Pittsburg qualified seven for the state meet last winter and won a combined five matches. White was 2-2 and finished 27-15 at 160. McIntier is also back after a 32-15 overall record, 0-2 at state at 138.
